Dreams That Never Come

The rain is gently falling
I can no longer sleep

Sweet words of lost tomorrow
Sorrow dark and deep

Clinging to her footsteps
Her gentle distant breath

I cannot be this lonesome
I can believe she left

Over ten years have come and gone now
A time it does not seem

I want to be with you now
If only in a dream

I dream of falling raindrops
A lover’s soft embrace

I dream of seeing you again
With every breath I waste

Come back to me my love
I’m not done with my mistakes

I found it sad and haunting but peaceful in a strange way .

Wow, this is really good. I found it hautingly beautiful. It has that really dark feel to it, yet somehow it seems there's a little light.
